Wee Target was created by Joanna and Daniel, parents with four children of which three are boys.  Jo grew up in a home with  four sisters and no brothers so when it came to toilet training the boys it was a little over whelming!  The toilet training side was pretty easy but the aiming side of toilet training was the hiccup!

That night after going to bed a little cross after bleaching the floors yet again, thinking toilet training boys was quite a bit of effort, Jo woke Dan up in the middle of the night and said, "I've got it!" The boys need something to aim at to help with toilet training!  The very next day they researched to see if there was anything on the market to help with toilet training boys and realised there wasn't alot out there to help, let alone with the aiming side in toilet training!  Jo had heard of the ping pong trick but as the boys liked balls it wasn't an option as she pictured them putting their hands in the toilet and retrieving them!  

That afternoon they got in the car and went and bought a suction cup, Dan had some plastic lying around so Jo drew a happy face on it and they endeavoured to put it in the toilet.  The boys thought it was a great idea but it wasn't too long before it fell off into the water. Over the next 5 years Wee Target was created to help with toilet training boys. Dan thought it would be a great idea to have the picture change in some way  and they worked consistently  on the idea and after a bit of creativity and a lot of trial and error, Wee Target was created.  The black heat sensitive spot dispappears to reveal a fun picture when aimed at and the spot returns when the toilet is flushed to encourage the boys to remember to flush! The hygiene side was covered too as the Wee Target sits above the water level and is also washed every time the toilet is flushed, a must in any mums home while toilet training boys!  

After listening to lots of mums stories in all circles of life Jo realised she wasn't the only one a little frustrated with toilet training.  They were close to having their Wee Target manufactured and a girlfriend of Jo's suggested writing into The New Inventors.  That night she did just that and later that week they got back to her.  From there The New Inventors researched the market  for toilet training and Wee Target came back as a positive tool and a need which was really amazing.  A few weeks later The New Inventors crew turned up at their home, just as the first few Wee Targets were being manufactured.  Their youngest son helped with the video and although everyone was a little nervous, it was a lot of fun!

Wee Target went to air soon after along with their website the same week.  Amazing enough Wee Target won the "People's Choice Episode Winner" for that week and came in the top 5 People's Choice winners for the year.  They were overwhelmed with the support and need for toilet training and are continually encouraged by the feed back that comes in from happy mums with boys when toilet training.

Jo is happy to chat to anyone about toilet training and is now labeled the "wee lady".  You will often find her pulling one out of her bag and giving one to a mum with boys in tow, smiling as she does thinking, she'll thank me later!

Dan and Jo's new idea is coming soon.  In the next month their brand new "Urinal" stickers arrive so they will keep you posted, a great idea for schools, pubs, mens toilets, etc.!
